The “Big Test”

Good morning!

It’s 4:30 A.M., and I’ve been awake for an hour (Kinder sleepover messes up my sleep patterns every year). But, don’t worry, I’m watching Canada’s only pro baseball team doing it’s best against the evil New York Yankees! Underdogs at the start of the season, the Toronto Blue Jays have not given up and are now in 1st place!!! The last time they made the playoffs, I had hair… It’s been a long time.

The Big Test results are in. I thought I had made a very challenging test, and I still think I did but, a lot of kids scored much higher than I expected. Most importantly for me, it wasn’t just the older kids that did well. There were high scores from Grades one, two and three students too!
*High scores means scores higher than the teachers expected from the individual students.

I learned a lot from the summer homework and the big test results. There is one thing I would like to say:

The students who challenged themselves while doing their summer vacation homework got much higher test results, and much, much higher satisfaction from their hard work!

                                                    It’s simple:
                                         Hard work=better results.
                                   Better results=more satisfaction.
                                 More satisfaction=more confidence.

Anyway, good job kids. Don’t forget the equations above.
