Hello

Welcome to UnderBlog!

This is my first blog ever, so I’ll try to keep it simple.

Exactly one year ago, I decided to follow my heart (not my brain or bank account) and start Underdogs. At that time I had no staff, no students and not a lot of power. But, I had a vision on what a good English school should be. I had a vision I believed in a lot!

The next few months, I felt like I wouldn’t be able to be strong enough to get my goal. I felt like I would have to work 100 times harder than I ever had before.

That’s where the name comes from. I felt like an underdog. Not many people around me believed I had a chance to do what I had planned.

Then, the support started coming from a few parents. Those kind words gave me so much power!

More parents started showing interest in Underdogs, and I felt even stronger.

As I started to register my new company, I was very lucky to get the consulting help of the Japanese government. One man especially, a retired foreign bank manager, made everything so clear for me. He explained what was wrong before, and how to make it right. He explained WHY it’s better to do a business the right way. I loved what he said, and owe a lot of thanks to him.

Science Building. Wow! The owner has helped so much, and continues to support Underdogs every day. The owner believes in his neighborhood, and I felt overwhelmed by his support over the last year.

The staff. I have never worked with a staff that made me feel so comfortable. Everybody believes in the SAME philosophy. Everybody is good at different things.  Everybody tries extra hard for the kids. With a staff like that, education will happen!

There have been so many tall mountains to climb in the last year. I couldn’t have done it by myself. Without the support of so many people, it would have been impossible to make Underdogs.

Staff, parents, grandparents and so many other people. Only positive support.

Thank you.

Kids, tomorrow class starts!

 I’m waiting….
