First things first…

First, make soup stock from the leftovers…

I still have LOTS of turkey stock left. Anybody want some?

Next, the parties!

First, the afternoon party. Bianca did a great job preparing the food and craft for the kids! She is very environmentally conscious (NPO) and tried to explain to the kids how her craft and cooking were environmentally friendly. I’m sorry to say it but, the kids cared more about eating food and making  crafts than listening to what Bianca was trying to teach them.

My mission after the New Year break: explain about what the kids ate and made….

I asked all of the kids what they enjoyed the most, and it was the food and craft! NOT the games or presents… That made me happy.

If you want pictures, check Makiko’s blog! She used all the good pictures before I had a chance.

Next, the Kinder party. I FELT RELAXED!

That’s all I can say.

Actually, I can say much more. I felt proud! I felt nostalgic! I felt hot (the santa suit’s fault)!

Notice the line on my forehead? Just below my bangs? I’m sure I’ll get a rash from that wig!!

Peace was the theme for this party. The reason I chose peace comes from my childhood. I have 3 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. There was absolutely no peace in our house. EXCEPT from December 20 to December 26th. The power of Christmas. I knew when I was a child that S**ta didn’t really exist but, I didn’t want to take the chance. I was a good boy before Christmas. It is hard for brothers and sisters to be friends.

Looks pretty good, right!

Adults too, it is hard.

Takuji kids too. It’s like they are brothers and sisters because they spend so much time together. The morning of the party they helped me test the beets. They LOVED the beets! I was so happy.
P.S. At the party, they didn’t eat the beets…

Last, one more picture that the staff took. It really reminded me of when I was young. We always had “family gatherings” at Christmas. All of my mom’s relatives gathered and had a huge party. And, all of my father’s relatives gathered (usually around 100 people). My point is, at the gatherings we all played with everybody. Age didn’t matter.
